Silan and Harissa Salmon

2 tbsp organic silan (date syrup)
1/3 cup sesame oil
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tbsp harissa
1 tbsp sweet paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/3 cup avocado oil
2 lb filet of wild salmon, skin on and cut into 8 pieces
1 large orange, cut into thin half circles
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a bowl, prepare the sauce by combining the silan, sesame oil, garlic, harissa, paprika, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
Heat a heavy skillet over high heat. Pour the oil in the skillet and place the salmon skin side down. Spoon a generous tablespoon of sauce over each piece of fish. Arrange orange slices around the fish.
Put the skillet in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.
Serve with rice or roasted potatoes
